Product Details

Cortland Sinking Slip-On Leader Loops give fly anglers a quick, reliable way to attach leaders to fly line while maintaining a strong loop-to-loop connection. Just slide the braided connector over the end of your fly line and secure it with the included shrink tubing for a durable hold. Available in 30 lb. and 50 lb. tests to cover everything from trout setups to heavy saltwater rigs, each pack includes four loops and enough shrink tubing for multiple connections.

  • Test: 30 lb.; Line Weight: 2 - 7 wt.
  • Test: 50 lb.; Line Weight: 8 - 15 wt.
  • Strong braided construction with shrink tubing for secure attachment
  • Pack includes four leader loops with tubing for at least four connections

    not worth purchasing ! the factory line with loops does not fit in shrink tubing ! used hair dryer on high for 10 minutes and did not shrink the connector to the fly line ! JUNK ...you need a special heat gun to possibly get them together ...instructions a vague and not specifying you may or do need a professional heat gun ! BEWARE JUNK !

    This connector consistently floats (not always) which is a vast improvement over my previous connector. I used heat from a 250 Watt bulb to shrink the heat shrink tube. I rotated the heat shrink next to the bulb. Hot water did not work for me. It definitely weighs more than my previous connector so in turn I adjusted my casting. If you want a light touch in casting it can be a factor.

    I put these on the majority of my rigs that don't have a welded loop. Easy to install haven't had one let go yet (knock on wood).

    for those of us hwo are knot-challenged these leader loops make all tthe rest simple. I was glad to finally fiind them again from an American source. I am trying the floating variety this tiime and expect they will help me track line as a mini strike indicator. We'll see.
