    Without a doubt, Douglas rods are the best rods I've ever fished with. I have used G. Loomis, St. Croix, Fenwick, and other rods. These other rods are great, but don't even come close to the sensitivity, weight and quality of these rods. I have the LRS S6103XF, and in my opinion, its the best rod for using plastics and jigs for walleye, and a perfect rod for river trout fishing.

    I haven't been a finesse fisherman but everyone keeps trying to convince me. Fishing from a kayak, I figured I needed a slightly shorter rod for control. I purchased the 6'9" rod. The sensitivity is awesome. The shorter rod helps with accuracy. First time out I caught 4 and missed on 2 others. I got broke off on what felt like a big one. Very happy with my purchase. Will consider another in the future.

    Picked up a Douglas LRS spinning rod at a bait shop as an impulse buy. I was waiting for my bait when saw it, picked it up and decided this was a rod that I had to try out. It really is a wonderful rod. Very sensitive and great for drop shot fishing and Wacky rigging. I have cast and jigged for walleyes with it too, and it has done fine. I have owned G. Loomis rods and St. Croix rods and this rod holds its own with these brands, in my experience.
