Made of 840-denier, abrasion- and puncture-resistant ballistic nylon, the Orvis waterproof hip pack is designed to withstand the toughest conditions while keeping your gear safe and dry with a .1mm TPU coating on both sides of the fabric. The waterproof fly fishing hip pack houses everything from fly boxes and leaders to tippets and other essential gear and distributes that weight across your hips. The easy-access Tippet Whippet docking station is now welded onto the fabric, so water leakage is not possible.
The robust, submersible, easy-slide, #10 TIZIP MasterSeal zipper is a crucial element. Unlike other packs with less reliable sandwich bag-style closures, this zipper has actual teeth that grab and seal. Consequently, your gear stays dry, and easy access is guaranteed through a generously sized opening with a high-vis chartreuse color interior. The hip strap, lumbar panel, and removable shoulder strap with perforated 10mm foam padding have been thoughtfully redesigned to reduce weight and bulk while ensuring better air circulation. Further features include a net scabbard with tool docking on one hip panel, a mesh pocket on the other, a fly-drying patch, a second, water-resistant accessory pocket with YKK AquaGuard zipper, a water bottle pocket with retention leash, and an internal hanging pocket.
