The Panfish Pursuers P3 Plastics Copee measures 7/8 of an inch long, and the microplastic bait is probably the most detailed copepod imitation you'll find right down to the armored exoskeleton and almost totally transparent body.
The Copee is small, but the ice fishing soft plastic has a reputation for catching mega-sized bluegills. P3 suggests using glow colors in stained waters, but the dull colors have their place in some lakes where the light absorption is good. In clear water, colors that create contrast are said to work well – black, purple, motor oil, and bubblegum. Whites, glitter colors, and pearls mimic the transparent copepods panfish devour for comfort food, as we might with a can of peanuts.
