Raven Gold Standard Balsa Floats – FD & FX Models

The RAVEN Gold Standard Balsa Floats are specialized steelhead float designs for anglers targeting fast-moving water and deeper depths. Both the FD and FX salmon float models are crafted to meet different needs on the water.   

The FD model salmon fishing floats are built for fast currents and deep depths. These fixed-stem floats have a high-strength, one-piece fiberglass stem and provide durability and precision. Each FD float is designed to use 3/32″ RAVEN Silicone Tubing or Fluorescent Orange RAVEN Tip Top Tubing on the top and 1/16″ RAVEN Silicone Tubing on the stem. This setup allows for quick changes in float size or model without needing to re-tie, ensuring you're ready for changing river conditions while keeping your bait in the strike zone.   

The FX model balsa floats are ideal for fast currents and extra-deep depths. Equipped with brass grommets at each end, these slip floats are designed for use with float stops, allowing you to adjust your depth on the fly. The FX floats are perfect for targeting fish holding deep in strong currents, providing control over your presentation while allowing for deeper, more precise drifts.   

Both models share the signature high-visibility fluorescent red tip for easy tracking in fast-moving water. They are finished with a sleek clear coat that enhances durability and modern appeal.
