Karl Weixlmann

Karl Weixlmann has been a fly fishing guide based out of Erie Pennsylvania for over 25 years. His authorships include writing for the Erie Times News, Fly Fisherman Magazine, Pennsylvania Angler, and other publications. Books published include Great Lakes Steelhead: Essential Techniques for Fly Fishing the Tributaries, and co-author of Keystone Fly Fishing. His new book, Fly Fishing Guide to Steelhead Alley is due out November 2024. Active in local conservation and fishing clubs, he has been past President and Vice President of the Pennsylvania Steelhead Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He lives in Millcreek Township with his wife Lisa.
