The History of Cornfield Fishing Gear

25 years ago, Mark and Paula Ridl started a company called Production Tooling and Automation in Hoopeston, Illinois. It quickly became a thriving business doing work for the automotive industry.

Livescope Transducer Pole Mounts By Cornfield Fishing Gear

Cornfield Fishing Gear offers pole mounts for livescope transducers that are incredibly useful for anglers who prefer to not have their forward facing sonar transducers mounted to their trolling motors.

Crappie anglers in particular love this style of mount. It allows their live transducers to remain focused on the school of fish or structure they’re casting at while the trolling motor holds the boat in place in spotlock.

Cornfield Over The Side Mount

The Cornfield Over The Side Mount is very adjustable and telescopes up and down for height adjustment. A knob on this mount’s base can be loosened, allowing the vertical and horizontal tubes to be swiveled 360 degrees.

In order to reach your specific height, loosen the knob on the vertical tube and telescope upwards, then tighten the knob once you have achieved the height you are looking for. The knob on the vice end tightens into the machined side to hold your LiveSweep, Handscope, or Cable Steer. Available in:

Cornfield Handscope with Telescoping Transducer Mount

This telescoping transducer pole mount combines the Hanscope Manual Live View Transducer Pole with an adjustable Over the Side Mount in one convenient package. As the name would imply, this mount can telescope out to a preferred height. The Cornfield Fishing Handscope Pole fits Garmin Panoptix and Livescope, Humminbird MEGA Live, and Lowrance Active Target Transducer Systems.

Like the non-telescoping transducer mount, this one is also available in 52” and 62” models. The handle is adjustable and can be positioned in line with the arrow, 90 degrees to the right, or 90 degrees to the left.

The Minn Kota Terrova is a very popular trolling motor, but its design makes mounting anything on it a pain. Wires can easily become pinched or even break with the way this trolling motor stows and deploys, which can become frustrating and costly extremely quickly.

The Cornfield Cable Steer Live Sonar Transducer mount allows you to easily steer your Live View Transducer with the twist of a knob. This mount is compatible with most Ultrex, Fortrex, and Maxxum Minn Kota motors as well as the Lowrance Ghost, Garmin Force, and Motorguide Tour/Pro Tours. It can also be mounted off the deck of your boat with Cornfield’s Over the Side Mounts.
