With a weight of only 5.9 oz, the Hakai baitcasting reels have an ultra-compact form factor that fits comfortably in your hand.

Okuma utilizes advanced technology called FLITE-SPOOL and FLITE-SHAFT in their Hakai low-profile reels. The specially designed spool has a 33mm O/D, weighs only 9.5g (0.33oz) total with the bearing, and is suitable for all kinds of fishing. Moreover, the patented hollow stainless-steel SUS FLITE SHAFT technology with precision SUS balls aims to provide the baitcast reel with a perfect balance between weight, strength, and smoothness. The Hakai low-profile reels are suitable for anglers of all skill levels to confidently cast even the lightest of lures up to 3g (0.10 oz) with ease.
