My name is Jonathan Phillips, owner and operator of Team Phillips Fishing located in Wetumpka, AL where I specialize in guided crappie tours along the Coosa and Alabama Rivers. I am also a 20 year veteran of Montgomery Fire Rescue where I currently hold the rank of District Fire Chief. I am married to Alicia Phillips and have two sons Wyatt (11) and Stetson ( 9 months). I have been involved in the outdoors and in particular angling dating back to when I was four years old. Family has always been first and foremost in my life and has evolved tremendously over the last decade when my wife Alicia and I began to compete in national and state crappie trails such as Crappie Masters, National Crappie League, Central Alabama Crappie Club, Alabama Crappie Trail, American Crappie Trail, Crappie USA, and the Mr. Crappie Invitational. Alicia and I were blessed with multiple victories and state championships along the way.
In the past few years, my 11 year old son Wyatt has taken special interest in angling where he has now joined me as a tournament partner on the trail. It is our mission to share Wyatt's love for angling and the outdoors to hopefully inspire other young anglers in a positive manner. Wyatt has already bolstered his young fishing career, where he received the 2023 Youth Angler of Year in the Alabama Crappie Trail and most recently finished third place in the 2023 Mr. Crappie Invitational. Above tournament results, Team Phillips Fishing wishes to be a positive inspiration for other families to enjoy what has been a blessing to us.
